The Evolution Of The Ego

The Ego Collection,  with its fun back panel and hidden side pockets, was an instant hit, and I was shocked at how great it looked on such a wide variety of ladies.

This design was not perfect initially; it took a few months, if not a year, to get the pattern pieces right. But I am so happy with how it looks and fits now.

The fabric I use for the Ego Collection is stretchy. Because of its super flattering shape and side gathers, it is forgiving on many bodies, and each size can fit a variety of frames.

Seeing different ladies try on my designs each week and hearing their feedback and comments was a massive help in modifying the fit and creating different size options. There are now five sizes available.

Size Information and Guide

I started with only the Hooded Tank in The Ego Collection, and it has now grown to four different styles. You can choose a super flattering, big hood or a nice clean neck finish and with or without sleeves—Learn More.

I have always been frustrated that they make clothes so square, and if I want them longer, I have to go up a size, which makes me look like a box. So, with all Untamed creations (unless requested), the sleeves, body, and hood are the same length.

I have complained my whole life about sleeves not being long enough for my giraffe arms (I know giraffes don’t have arms, haha), and what’s the point of having thumbholes when they cut off my circulation? Haha, we all have our things. 

All you long-armed ladies out there will love the sleeves and thumbholes on all my collections. If you have short arms, no worries; leave me a message when ordering, and I will make them shorter at no extra cost. 

I have always loved big hoods. I have a long neck, so finding hoods has always been challenging. I apologize if you own one of my early pieces when the hood did not sit right and was so heavy; I now have the best hood design ever. I know that is a big statement, but it’s true, haha. After a lot of head-scratching and grey hairs, my new hood design is so cozy when up and really lovely when worn down.

All the pockets on my designs are practical and cool. You can actually use them, and as the phones have grown, so have my pockets. I know what we want, ladies!

If you have followed me from the beginning, you can see the difference in my designs as I have learned and grown. I was very embarrassed about this initially, but then I realized that I would be more embarrassed if I were not developing and improving. I am sure Chanel suits were not perfect from the start.
