Each piece has a story and a meaning —Art By Ali Cat. Written By Casy Brennan. Many of these iconic animals are considered ‘threatened’, ‘of special concern’ or ‘endangered’ in our conservation nomenclature. They are facing the combined threats of climate change and habitat loss resulting from human impacts. 

For me, this project isn’t just about clothing. It’s about asking more questions of the industry and of ourselves: What are we putting on our bodies, and what impact does it have on the wild?

At the heart of this collection is "The Untamed Animal," an exclusive new design created by Untamed specifically for this collaboration by the fabulous Ali Clark from fernie, BC. 

It's a testament to the power of conscious choices and a call to action for all of us to become more discerning about the fabrics we embrace. Let's start caring about what we put on our bodies, not just for our own well-being, but for the health and vitality of our shared planet.

The partnership between Untamed, Ali Cat Arts, and Wildsight creates a powerful synergy, exemplifying how local businesses and passionate individuals can unite for the greater good, fostering a sustainable future for art, fashion, and the environment.

Whereas, with a tattooed sleeve, I’m designing for a particular arm. With the fabric, I needed to account for the different sizes that would be available.

I wanted, however, to remind us all that in a world that is ever more divided, the most radical act is community and kindness

I love how it’s open for interpretation and becomes a unique experience for each individual who views it. 

She is inspired by the integration of nature and mathematics, sacred geometry, and outer space, from the micro to the macro.
