Please stop being so negative about yourself.
I love going to shows and seeing all you beautiful ladies try on my designs, but it makes me sad and mad how 95% of you criticise your bodies. We have to stop this; it doesn't benefit you or anyone around you.
I have learned so much about women in the past two years and sadly realised that most are unhappy with their bodies. We are exceptional at bigging up our friends, telling them how great their bum looks, how clear their skin is or how pretty their hair looks, but we never say the same to ourselves. Why?
Remember, never say anything to yourself that we wouldn't say to your friend.
I had some fantastic conversations with many of you at my booth this year about this topic and how passionate I am about changing how we see ourselves in the mirror. Today's world is far too obsessed with what everyone else is doing, how everyone looks and comparing themselves to people they do not even know.
I want people to recognise that we all have issues; we all have body insecurities but let's not focus on the negative but embrace the positive. We all let these unhealthy thoughts have such power, allowing them to control us and define who we are. I know it's hard and something to continually work on, but remember, no one is perfect. That lady over there who you think has great legs is thinking that your eyes are beautiful!
Life isn't easy, but if we all make healthy choices and make the best of what we have, we can all rock the best look of all … A happy, confident smile.
